Subject:  Spring "Hill Country" Ride

It's time to plan for a Spring Hill Country Ride.  It's been over 10 years since the last one.

I have booked rooms at the "River Inn Resort" in Hunt, Texas for April 22nd & 23rd.  The event is for all members of the NTNOA and will include a two day ride through the Texas Hill Country.  The ride is intended for "Vintage Motorcycles" only.  While this does not preclude your bringing a modern bike, the rides, speeds, etc., will favor the more mature motorcycles. It is my intention to tow down to Hunt on Friday morning the 22nd, ride that afternoon, ride Saturday the 23rd and return to DFW on Sunday the 24th.

If you are interested in participating in this event contact the "River Inn" at (830) 238-4226.  I have currently blocked four additional rooms for those dates.  When making reservations please ask for the NTNOA room block.  After those initial rooms are gone you are on your own.  Currently there are additional rooms available, but they won't last long.  On the weekends there is a two (2) night minimum, so you can't come down on Saturday and get a room without paying for Sunday as well.  The room rate is $75.00 per night on the weekends.

Weather permitting there will be a vintage bike ride to the Lone Star Motorcycle Museum.  It is about 25 miles from the River Inn Resort to the Museum.  The Museum specializes in classic Brit Bikes.  We are trying to coordinate for a guided tour by the owner, Mr. Johncock.

Any questions, please contact me directly at us850@aol.com or (972) 998-5893.

Let's go have some fun.

George,

We look forward to you and the group coming out. Both the museum and Ace Cafe will be open. The cafe is serving gourmet hamburgers, homemade fries, and of course the Aussie meat pies.

Cheers,
Allan
