Our 2018 November Club Meeting was at Richard's Little House on Sunday, Nov. 25th.

A very special thanks to our host Richard Asprey for hosting without a doubt the best attended meeting our club has ever had in 35 years. Although the weather was a bit chilly and very windy over 90% of the members arrived early and rode to the meeting as can be seen in Paul Valentine’s photos. Richard ordered more than enough pizzas to go around and there were enough cold beverages to satisfy everyone’s thirst.

Rally Chairman Dennis Tackett started the meeting promptly at 2pm with the first order of business to recognize new members and guests. Up coming events were discussed next.

Our annual Xmas dinner party is once again at the Spirit Grille in Irving on Saturday, December 22nd. Due to the exceptionally large attendance and to keep the club in the black there will be a $10 (mandatory) donation taken at the door for each attendee. $20 for five raffle bike tickets will also get you in the door.  The raffle bike is a Norton Commando.  Cathy Ramsey, aka Crazy Cathy has volunteered to collect donations at the door.

The International Motorcycle Show which is the first weekend in January at the Dallas Convention Center has invited the club to display some of our member’s motorcycles. Randy Bauer has once again volunteered to manage our display.  The club needs a minimum of 12 bikes for our display. If you have a vintage bike you would like to display at the show send an email to bikeshow@ntnoa.org with a description of the bike. We also need members to man our booth at the show. A chart showing the openings can be found on our homepage.

By tradition our January meeting is at Pappas Bar-B-Q. This will be our eighteenth consecutive year at Pappas.

The 2019 Spring Hill Country Ride centered around Leakey, TX at the Historic Leakey Inn is Thursday, April 25th through Sunday, April 28. Like last year it will be held in conjunction with a ride to the Harris Hill Raceway in San Marcos. It is a private track that we'll book for the day. It will include a track-day for members on vintage motorcycles.

Last but not least, in accordance with item 11 of our Club's By-laws we elect officers; e.g., president, VP and treasurer at the November meeting. Richard Asprey was voted in as president, Ryan Ambrose as VP and Michael Mediterraneo as treasurer. Dennis has agreed to be our Rally Chairman again and Wendy Griffiths as our Event Coordinator.  Richard would like people to assist a club officer through out next year and be willing to take over the job for 2020.  Ryan has indicated he'd like to take over Richard's position as president in 2020.  Perhaps the most important and critical position is club treasurer. If interested in becoming the club treasurer in 2020 contact mike at mike@ntnoa.org.
