2015 Spring Hill Country Ride.

Our annual Spring Hill Country ride is a gathering of British & European vintage motorcycles. This four day event is centered around Leakey, TX in the middle of the Twisted Sisters (hwy 335,336 & 337).

The 2015 Spring Hill Country Ride was booked for Thursday, April 23rd through Sunday, April 26th.

People started arriving in Leakey Thursday and settled into their cabins and rooms. Next the vintage bikes were unloaded from the trailers and parked under the pavilion.

A very large thunderstorm came through late Thursday night and dropped many inches of rain.

Friday morning dawned very wet with rain all day, so no riding. Even though another storm came through early Saturday morning the day broke clear and sunny.

We started with a ride to Camp Wood on the vintage bikes for breakfast. When we returned we reorganized and headed for the museum in Vanderpool. We then broke into smaller groups and headed to Tarpley for lunch, then to Medina for gas then back to Leakey.

There were no mechanicals, no crashes, and no tickets. Jake Sanchez was nowhere to be seen. All in all it was a great ride. The party commenced in earnest Saturday evening starting off with an excellent steak dinner provided by club president Richard Asprey. The steaks were skillfully prepared by Scot Patterson and Bailey Burk. After dinner it was story time with Dennis Tackett followed by a dance party. It was the first NTNOA disco.

Photos pending.
