Team Triumph Texas was started in the late 1970's by Ed Mabry, Jack Wilson, Lee Manis and Jon Minonno.  A short time later Mike McCurry became part of the team with Jay McCurry drag racing for the team.  In those early days of TTT the focus was on drag racing.  During the '80's the emphasis shifted to Speed Week at the Bonneville Salt Flats.  Setting speed records soon became the mission of TTT.
