It was one of the hottest days so far this year but about twenty five members
and guests showed up for the meeting. Clay Walley started the meeting
reminding everyone that the club needs members to step-up and take over officer
positions for next year. Clay has been our president and Dennis our rallye
chairman for five years. It's time others take charge.
Dennis announced that Ryan Ambrose, mechanic and racer for
Big D Cycle is going to race in the
Clubman 750 class at AMA's Vintage Motorcycle Days if they can get enough money
for tires and gas. The rules are exactly the same as the AHRMA Sportsman
750 where Ryan currently holds the number one plate. Ryan needs $1,000 in
donations in order to compete. There are links on the Big D Cycle and
NTNOA websites that allow someone to donate online using a credit card or PayPal
account. Clay passed a hat and many members contributed at the meeting.
By the end of the meeting it looked like Ryan had enough money to go and race.
Good luck Ryan - bring home the number one plate.
