Our March meeting saw one of our best attended meetings in over a year in spite of the 35 mph winds. More than 30 members rode out to see Mike's collection of restored antiques including a 1930 Fleet bi-plane, a 1952 Dodge Pickup, a Farmall Tractor and a 1946 Cessna 140. All in pristine condition. There was also a Mooney Mite in Mike's hanger that belongs to a friend. Mike also had plenty of refreshments on hand.
Clay called the meeting to order around 2:00 pm. The first order of business was a discussion of our annual Lake O' the Pines Rallye. Clay asked for volunteers to help out with the rallye and the rallye bike show. Dennis Tackett is once again our rallye Chairman this year. He took a minute to describe this year's raffle bike, a 1973 Norton Combat Commando. Raffle tickets will go be available at all our the club's events including the rallye. Tickets are $5 each or six for $20. This year you do not need to be present at the rallye to win.
Phil Dansby mentioned that there will be a Car & Bike Show next Sunday ( 2 April) at Up N' Smoke.
Although the meeting didn't last very long everyone stayed around to examine Mike's collection, socialize and enjoy the camaraderie.
