Our March meeting was at Michael Fairchild's residence, 25 March, 2012 Our March meeting was hosted by Michael Fairchild at his beautiful residence in Arlington. The weather was great and many members showed up early to enjoy the camaraderie and consume hot dogs and cold beverages. Mike's custom garage and shop combination was the envy of us all. Many thanks to Mike for his gracious hospitality. Chris Parry started the meeting on time at 2pm. Upcoming events were the first order of business. The next two months are full of motorcycle events. The Rockers vs. Mods Dallas along with the Clark Gardens Inaugural Motorcycle Show are both next weekend. Two weeks later is the British Invasion also known as the Spring Hill Country ride. It will be centered in and around Leakey, TX. It is expected that with the NTNOA, BMOA and the Lone Star Vincent owners clubs represented there will be well over 100 vintage British motorcycles. Richard Asprey coordinated for a special T-shirt to commemorate the event. It has Alton Gillespie’s artwork on the front with a small graphic of the three club logos on the back by the nape of the neck. Chris asked for volunteers to help with raffle bike transportation and sales of tickets at the All British Car (and motorcycle) Day at White Rock Lake on May 6th. If interested please send an email to ntnoa@ntnoa.org. Last year Wayne Parfitt took 1st place for his 1974 Norton Commando. Tragically Wayne died unexpectedly in January. Clay Walley reported on Ryan’s recent racing achievements. Ryan raced at Texas World. He won everything and came in second to the hot rod Ducati in the Sportsman class. Clay passed a hat and collected $271 to help with Ryan's racing expenses. The 50/50 drawing was won by Dutch who donated some of his winnings to Ryan. The Club donated it's half to Ryan.
