The 2021 May Meeting was at Richard's Ranch
in Paradise, TX on Sunday, May 30th
Although Richard's ranch is about an hour's ride /
drive from the Metroplex the meeting was exceptionally well attended
aided by the perfect weather with highs only in the low 70's.
Members
and guests started arriving early. Coffee was available as
early as 9am. Many brought or
rode their off-road and minibikes. Many more rode their road bikes. Richard
has an area that he wanted to prepare for grandkids, and it needed
to be ridden a lot to create paths so dirt bikes were asked to "burn
in" the track.
Richard provided tour rides around his almost 300 acre ranch. There was plenty
of bottled water and Shiner Bock available all day. At noon, Al Lamb,
owner of Al Lamb's Dallas
Honda cooked and served brisket
sandwiches.
Everyone was entertained by the many, mostly younger riders
getting airborne riding
the dirt track which was like a motocross track.
At 2pm
Dennis Tackett once again MC'd the reading of the minutes. The first
order of business was the introduction of new members and guests.
Next discussed were bikes for sale and new projects. Steve
Sechrist has a 2008 S4RS Ducati Tricolor Monster for sale which is
listed on the
club's classifieds page.
The location for our June meeting was discussed. Dennis will
investigate having a club meeting in conjunction with a bike show
at Dylan's Barbeque
Saloon, located at
2110 W. Northwest Highway, Dallas. The club has hosted a bike show
at Dylan's before with great success.
Dennis mentioned the significance and importance of Monday's
Memorial Day and the sacrifice so many have made so that we can
enjoy our freedoms.
Richard invited everyone to stay as long as they liked.
