Sunday, November 24 Meeting at the Morales Residence

Our final club meeting of 2024 was one of the best! Our hosts for the afternoon were David and Jennifer Morales, who shared their amazing home with us. Dave’s extensive and spectacular motorcycle collection was on display. Dave has applied his top-notch fabrication skills to all of the bikes, and he works his magic in his superb workshop. Jennifer and Dave provided delicious BBQ sandwiches, chips and cookies, and we all enjoyed dining and relaxing with friends. The turnout was excellent, and the weather was perfect!

At 2pm, President Chris took care of the formal club business and announcements portion of the meeting. Chris started by thanking Jennifer and Dave for putting on such an excellent meeting with great food. Lots of members rode bikes to the meeting, but Bill Felton got a special shout-out for being the only rider on a vintage Norton!

Mark Peterson and Bart Nale took a few minutes to tell us about their group’s recent trip through Copper Canyon in Mexico. They trailered their KTMs to Presidio, TX and rode from there. They did a 50/50 mix of on and off-road and had a great time. Ed Sass shared his recent Hill Country trip – four nights riding his BMW.

A reminder that there are numerous bikes for sale on ntnoa.org classifieds. Dave Morales pointed out that all of his motorcycles are for sale, and to discuss with him if interested. Preservation Cycle is selling a Buell for Shirley Pope.

Other news – Doc’s Bar & Grill in Muenster has new owners and is open for business. The Haas Museum has reopened in its new location and is definitely worth a visit. Chris suggested a club ride to visit there next year.

Paul Dowling was the lucky winner of the 50/50 raffle.

The next club event, and our final activity for 2024, will be the Christmas party on Saturday December 14 at 6pm. The location is the Sprit Grille, 4030 N. MacArthur Blvd #112, Irving, TX 75038. An Evite invitation will be emailed soon. Please RSVP when you get it and make your menu selection. The club will be asking for $20 per person to help with costs. New, good quality door prize contributions will also be gratefully received.

2025 Club Officers

As usual, the November meeting is when the new club officers for 2025 are nominated and selected.

Chris explained that after being president and vice president for several years, he was not going to put his name forward for an officer position for 2025 due to upcoming personal and work commitments. Huge thanks to Chris for his time, energy, expertise and guidance. He has kept the club on track and will be a tough act to follow for the new president!

Thank you to Jane West who has agreed to be Treasurer for another year, and to Jay Tynes for agreeing to be Vice President.

Next year’s officers will be:

President – Richard Bowman
Vice President – Jay Tynes
Treasurer – Jane West

Chris wrapped up the meeting with a final thank you to Jennifer and Dave for hosting a top-notch meeting.

Richard Bowman
VP and Rallye Chairman
