September 2013 Club Meeting

Our September Meeting was at Eurosport Cycle on 29 Sep
in conjunction with their Rally.

Their rally was a half day two hundred miler set up just like the Iron Butt events. We just left out the sore backsides! Maps and instructions were given out at 8:30 a.m. at Eurosport Cycle with bikes leaving at 9:00 a.m. All bikes were back by 1:00 for a BBQ lunch catered by Up In Smoke.

Our VP Randy Bauer facilitated the meeting. New members were introduced along with a review of recent long distant rides by club members.

A short discussion of the Lake O' the Pines Rallye followed. The burn ban has been lifted and there will be live music and a hat party / contest.

Jake Hendricks mentioned that his tricked out Triumph T110 might be for sale since his knee gives him a lot of discomfort on it while at a stop.

Randy will again be in charge of the International Motorcycle Show at the Dallas Convention Center the weekend of 8 - 10 November. Randy is looking for volunteers to show their bikes and man our booth at the show.
