Our January Club Meeting was Sunday, 25 Jan.  2004 at 2:00 PM at the Pappas BBQ on North West Hwy

Our President Dean Baker called the meeting to order promptly at 2:00 PM.  There was a great turn out principally due to the outstanding weather.  A little windy but with the temperatures in the mid 70's on a January nobody complained.

It was discussed and approved that the club would purchase a couple of Pop-up tents, a table and a new Banner with the club's logo.  George Tuttle took on the responsibility of checking on sizes and prices and to report back at the February meeting.

We had two new members present, they were Clint Null and Mike Vance.  Clint is a retired USAF Weapons System Officer now working on the F-35 project for Lockheed Martin in Fort Worth.  Clint is picking up his brand new Triumph Sprint ST on Saturday at RPM Cycles.  Mike is a Captain for America West Airlines and rides a '46 Indian Chief that he restored to mint condition and a '89 Harley-Davidson FLSTC.

Dennis Tackett reviewed the progress on the Save Our Streamliner (SOS) project.  Details can be found at http://www.saveourstreamliner.com.

Huston Matlock told us all about his new bike, a KTM 950 Adventure.  If you have a short inseam you can forget it.  This thing is TALL.

Bob Hagemann passed around a club roster and asked for everyone to make sure the club has their correct mailing address, phone number and email address.  Also, if you are a member of the American Motorcyclist Association please email Bob with your AMA number.  Bob's email address is bob@ntnoa.org.

Membership dues will continue to become due in August.  After January new members will pay a prorated amount.  Renewing members regardless of when they renew will continue to pay the full amount.

There was an Executive Meeting immediately following the general membership meeting.  Items discussed included this year's 20th Anniversary Lake 'O the Pines Rally which will highlight the rebirth of the World Record Setting Streamliner that burned in the British National Motorcycle Museum last September.  It was agreed to use the same Future Farmers of America chapter for registration that we used last year.  Also, Dean Baker will coordinate with Drop Jaw BBQ to see if they can expand their menu selection for next year.

Hope to see you at our February meeting.
