The weather was perfect for a late October meeting in Paradise, TX. Everyone arrived early to socialize and imbibe cold refreshments and consume the perfectly cooked brats provided by Bill & Laura Keating.

Our president Clay Walley started the meeting off thanking Bill & Laura for hosting our club meeting and providing for such great food and drink. We had two guests present, Bill & Phil along with a new member, Ron who attended a meeting for the first time.

Dennis Tackett gave a quick review of this year’s Lake O’ the Pines Rallye. It was the best ever with over 400 in attendance and 130 bikes in the bike show. Dennis also mentioned that Steve Atkins owner of Preservation Cycle found our raffle bike for next year. It's a slightly café’d 1976 Triumph Bonneville T-140 and it looks great.  Preservation Cycle specializes in vintage British motorcycles, with services including complete restorations, motor & transmission rebuilding, performance upgrades, painting, and much more.  Steve has over twenty years of experience working on Nortons and other makes.

Ryan Ambrose recapped his latest racing which was at Barber Motorsports Park. Although he was racing the oldest bike there and the only one without fuel injection Ryan placed 12th & 15th. The field was full of AMA professionals like Jason DiSalvo. Ryan arrived on his newly acquired 2004 FZ1 that looks like new. Now just try keeping him in sight.

Paul Dalton mentioned that he loves his new ride, a Moto Guzzi California.

Our next club meeting is at Michael Fairchild's residence on Sunday, November 23rd.  It is not on the last Sunday so as not to interfere with the Thanksgiving weekend.

At the November meeting nominations will be accepted and a vote taken to elect club officers for 2015 in accordance with item #11 of our club By-laws. The club officers consist of the president, VP and Treasurer. All other positions are appointed.
